BIOGRAPHY
Born in Japan, Kai Kurosawa picked up the electric bass guitar at the age of fifteen. Eventually he discovered the Warr Guitar and not only self-taught but also self-created fresh new cutting edge musical techniques for this unique instrument. Today his primary axe is the Beartrax; a custom 24-string tap-style instrument which he designed. Widely considered as truly one of a kind player, he is frequently invited to teach seminars and clinics in the United States, Europe, and Asia. He is consistently busy working with various bands and creative projects; genres include jazz, progressive metal, rock, pop, and electronic music. To name a few collaborators, he has worked with musical masters such as Vinny Golia, Hiromi, Collide, Caroline, Kiyomi Otaka, Thomas Lang, Ponta Shuichi, ISAO, Shane Gibson, Charmaine Clamore, and Andrea Centazzo. Some of his works are out on popular TV shows such as NSIC, as well as on the big screen (theme song to Resident Evil recorded with gothic super star Collide). Kai currently resides in Los Angeles. He enjoys cooking and loves spicy food.
